Conservation

Preserving habitat for Florida’s unique wildlife requires a specialized understanding of a fragile balance of ecological components. Common Ground Ecology designs conservation plans and conservation banking options with a dedicated focus on the particular ecological needs of plants and animals native to Florida. These include: Gopher Tortoise; Florida Scrub-Jay; Sand Skink and Bluetail Mole Skink; Eastern Indigo Snake; Bonneted Bat; Wood Stork; Red-cockaded Woodpecker; and Crested Caracara. We also develop plans to remove invasive species that could damage our unique ecosystems.
