Common Ground has highly qualified staff certified by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in all aspects necessary to survey for, relocate, and conserve gopher tortoises. We have performed these activities for 15 years, on numerous projects that range from having one burrow to hundreds. We also have a presence on the FWC advisory board for the tortoise, the Gopher Tortoise Technical Assistance Group (GTTAG). Our goal is to work with the landowner to quickly eliminate the potential for impacts to gopher tortoises on any sized private or public project. We resolve projects efficiently and thoroughly to allow the client to rest at ease that the gopher tortoise aspect of their project is no longer a concern.
